Roku to introduce $50 TV streamer with Net radio apps

Roku LTRoku will release a $50 "LT" version of its web-connected TV box next month. Roku's boxes include apps for Pandora, TuneIn Radio, MOG, Live365, MP3tunes, Radio Paradise and Rdio -- as well as video services like Netflix. Engadget has more coverage here.

MOG arrives on Samsung TVs, Blu-ray players

MOG's TV interfaceOn-demand music service MOG has expanded its reach to Samsung web-connected TVs and Blu-ray players bought since 2010. MOG joins Pandora, Napster and other apps already available on such devices.

The service is also available on LG TVs and home theater devices (RAIN coverage here).

UK TO OFFER WHITE SPACE MOBILE WEB BY 2013

The UK’s Ofcom plans to launch national White Space mobile Internet by 2013. “White Space,” as Engadget explains (here), “is the general term for unused but allocated spectrum, in this case it’s frequencies normally reserved for analog TV.”
