iHeartRadio music fest to stream live on Yahoo Music and PS3

Clear Channel has announced its 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival will stream live via Yahoo Music and the Playstation 3 gaming console (It will also be broadcast live via Clear Channel terrestrial stations nationwide).

The fest will also be televised as a two-night primetime special on September 30 on The CW Network.

Now in its third year, the festival takes place in Las Vegas this Friday and Saturday. Musical acts booked to appear include Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Elton John, Muse, Tiësto, and more.

The iHeartRadio Music festival opens tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and will feature performances from Taylor Swift, Aerosmith, Rihanna, Usher, Bon Jovi, Brad Paisley, Lil Wayne, Green Day, Swedish House Mafia, No Doubt, Pitbull, deadmau5, Miranda Lambert, Calvin Harris, Enrique Iglesias, Linkin Park, Jason Aldean, P!nk and Mary J. Blige.  This week superstar performer Shakira bowed out of the 2-day event, announcing she's pregnant.

Also this week Yahoo! announced it will stream the concert live in HD. The show will also be broadcast on Clear Channel radio stations and streamed to the Xbox.

It's the second-annual iHeartRadio concert. The first coincided with the launch of the Clear Channel-owned Internet and mobile radio initiative, iHeartRadio.

iHeartRadio Music FestivalThe iHeartRadio Music Festival will return this year, Clear Channel announced today. The second annual festival will take place September 21-22, 2012 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The 2011 festival kicked off the official launch of iHeartRadio's new personalizable web radio service. It featured acts like Lady Gaga, Jay-Z and Coldplay. No word yet on which artists will appear at the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival.

"The overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural festival made it clear that history shouldn't just repeat itself -- we should strive to make it an even better experience for music fans," said Clear Channel CEO Bob Pittman in the company's press release.
