WFMU to host radio "Hack Day" with Echo Nest, Zeega, Free Music Archive

WFMUNew Jersey-based independent radio station WFMU will host a radio "Hack Day" as part of its upcoming Radiovision festival.

On October 30, WFMU -- along with Free Music Archive, the Echo Nest and Zeega -- "invite hackers, musicians, digital storytellers and DIY media-makers to devote a day to reinvent radio using images, social media, and open archive materials."

AOL Music VP joins Echo Nest; Namerow promoted

AOL MusicAOL Music VP/GM Jeff Bronikowski has left to join Boston-based Echo Nest -- the music data provider that powers the new iHeartRadio. There he'll handle corporate development and strategy.

AOL has promoted Lisa Namerow -- a 'regular' at RAIN Summits -- to oversee AOL Music and Geno Yoham to handle Winamp. AllThingsDigital has more coverage here.
